My Plan for Veterans

You served. The country owes you more than a press release on Veterans Day.

Forward-looking commitment · Day-One plan

VA claims accountability

Public dashboards on VA claim backlog, average resolution time, and appeal outcomes — district by district. If the VA falls behind, my office files congressional inquiries every week until it moves.

Mental health as a top-priority emergency

Same-day access to mental health care for any veteran in crisis. Full coverage for service-connected PTSD, TBI, and MST treatment with no co-pays and no gatekeeping.

Economic opportunity

Veteran-owned small business loans included in the 10% APR cap. Apprenticeship and trade-school credit for military training. Federal hiring preferences enforced, not ignored.

Housing

Zero tolerance for veteran homelessness in our district. Direct coordination between my office, VA, HUD-VASH, and local nonprofits — with quarterly reporting.

Gold Star and survivor families

Lifetime priority casework, automatic enrollment in survivor benefits, and a dedicated liaison in my office.
